Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey (2026) is an epic historical fantasy film based primarily on Homer’s ancient Greek poem The Odyssey, while also incorporating selected material from The Iliad, Virgil’s Aeneid, and other classical traditions. Released by Universal Pictures on July 17, 2026, the film was written and directed by Christopher Nolan and produced by Nolan and his longtime producing partner and wife, Emma Thomas, through their Syncopy production company. The musical score was composed by Ludwig Göransson,
