Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026)

Dark Waters (2019)

I watched the 2019 biographical thriller Dark Waters on Netflix DVD. This true story is about Robert Bilott, played by Mark Ruffalo, the lawyer that took on Dupont. The ironic part is that Bilott was working for a law firm that defended chemical companies. The others stars are  Anne HathawayTim RobbinsBill CampVictor GarberMare WinninghamWilliam Jackson Harper, and Bill Pullman. Several of the real people from the story play parts in the movie also.

The movie was directed by Todd Haynes and written by Mario Correa and Matthew Michael Carnahan. This is a film that shows the incredibly horrible side of a giant corporation (Dupont) and an unlikely hero (Bilott)) fighting for the common man. I really enjoyed this movie and will give it 4.25 out of 5 stars. The extras on the disc are excellent and I’ll give them 5 out of 5. Read more on Wikipedia, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
