Frank Cady was a beloved American character actor, best remembered for his portrayal of the affable storekeeper Sam Drucker on the television sitcoms Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, and The Beverly Hillbillies. Born Frank Randolph Cady on September 8, 1915, in Susanville, California, he spent much of his early life in the small-town atmosphere that later informed his on-screen persona.
