Hair (1979)

I watched, for the first time, the 1979 United Artists comedy/drama/anti-war/musical “Hair” on Netflix DVD. A Vietnam War draftee, Claude Hooper Bukowski, visits New York City a few days before his draft board appointment. Here he meets and befriends a group of hippies and falls in love with a rich high society girl. The movie is based on the 1968 Broadway musical Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. The film has a lot of differences in plot from the musical.
