The Negotiator (1998)

The Negotiator is a taut action-thriller centered on police negotiator Danny Roman, portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson. Roman is framed for embezzlement and the murder of his partner and, in a desperate attempt to clear his name, takes hostages at the Chicago Internal Affairs Division. He demands that another expert negotiator, Chris Sabian (played by Kevin Spacey), handle the situation, believing Sabian to be neutral and objective.

Law Abiding Citizen (2009)

It’s gonna be Biblical!

I watched the 2009 Neo-Noir[1] film, “Law Abiding Citizen” on Netflix DVD. Traumatized by the atrocious murders of his wife and daughter (and the flawed justice system that set the killers free) Clyde Shelton gives in to his rage and sets out on a course of vengeance. It turns out that he is someone that shouldn’t have been wronged. The movie was directed by F. Gary Gray (The Negotiator, The Italian Job, The Fate of the Furious, Men in Black: International) from a screenplay written by Kurt Wimmer.
