What Does “Dig It” Mean?

To understand, approve of, or enjoy something.

“Dig it” is an informal slang expression that originated in the 1960s in the United States. It has several meanings and uses depending on the context. This usage has nothing to do with digging a hole. In a casual and enthusiastic manner, “dig it” can mean to like or enjoy something. For example, if someone says, “I love this music, man! I really dig it,” they express their enjoyment or appreciation for it.

Windy’s Desert Island Discs

Melody Hill was the Circle Sky Records official magazine while we were open between 2002 and 2010.

Windy, Nancy, and Valleri were our Circle Sky store mannequins. They kept an eye in the store 24 hours a day in their groovy 60’s outfits.  Windy was named after the Association song, Nancy after Nancy Sinatra, and Valleri, yes you guessed it, after the Monkees’ hit single.
