Colonial Stores was a chain of grocery stores once found throughout much of the South.

Colonial grocery stores were part of a significant chapter in the history of American retail, particularly in the southeastern United States. They emerged out of the early 20th-century consolidation and modernization of grocery retailing.

Poké

Pronounced POH-KAY

Poké is Hawaiian for “to slice” or “cut crosswise into pieces”. It is diced fish served as an appetizer or the main course and is a staple of Native Hawaiian cuisine. Traditionally skipjack tuna (aku) and octopus (he’e) are used. Poké began with fishermen seasoning the cut-offs from their catch to serve as a snack.
