War of the Colossal Beast is a 1958 black-and-white science fiction film directed by Bert I. Gordon. The movie is a sequel to the 1957 film The Amazing Colossal Man and follows the story of Glenn Manning, a U.S. Army officer who became a giant after being exposed to radiation in the first film. This movie, also known by its alternate titles Revenge of the Colossal Man and The Colossal Beast, continues the narrative of Manning’s tragic transformation and subsequent monstrous behavior.

I watched the 1958, American International Pictures[1], science fiction horror film “Attack of the Puppet People” on Svengoolie. Secretary Sally Reynolds is grateful to her seemingly kind boss, Mr. Franz when he introduces her to a dapper young man, Bob. Little does she know that Franz is more than a doll maker. He is really a merciless mad scientist who fights off loneliness by shrinking people and forcing them to serve as his living dolls. But, when he shrinks Sally and her new beau, they refuse to be his playthings and escape into a dangerous world that towers over them.

Earth vs The Spider (1958)

I watched the 1958 American International Pictures black and white sci-fi/horror movie “Earth vs The Spider” on Svengoolie. Carol’s father didn’t come home and she gets Mike to help her look for him. They find his wrecked truck and thinking he might have crawled into a nearby cave, go to look. What they find is a sticky web, a giant spider and horror. Carol is played by June Kenney (Attack of the Puppet People, The Ladies Man, Bloodlust!), her dad, Mr. Kingman, is played by Ed Kemmer (a fighter pilot in World War II, Buzz Cory in Space Patrol, Giant from the Unknown)
