Henry Kissenger Dies

Kissinger’s linguistic abilities, being fluent in German and French, led to his assignment in military intelligence.

Henry Alfred Kissinger was born on May 27, 1923, in Fürth, Bavaria, Germany, to a Jewish family. Fleeing Nazi persecution, the Kissinger family immigrated to the United States in 1938. Henry Kissinger’s early experiences in Germany deeply influenced his worldview and later shaped his approach to diplomacy. Kissinger’s educational journey began at George Washington High School in New York City. He later attended the City College of New York.

My Favorite Albums – Relayer – Yes

Soon, oh soon the light,
Pass within and soothe this endless night
And wait here for you, Our reason to be here.

Relayer was the first Yes album I owned. I took it to high school and we enjoyed it there in Mr. Thomas’ Social Studies office where I was an aide. I’m not 100% sure but I believe the album art attracted me to the purchase. It is artwork by Roger Dean who drew many Yes covers and the “Yes” logo itself. I have inducted Yes into my Music Hall of Fame.
