Marianne Faithfull Dies

Faithfull’s musical journey began in 1964 when she attended a Rolling Stones party.

Marianne Faithfull, born Marianne Evelyn Gabriel Faithfull on December 29, 1946, in Hampstead, London, was the daughter of Major Robert Glynn Faithfull, a British Army officer and professor of psychology, and Eva von Sacher-Masoch, an Austrian baroness and ballet dancer. Her parents’ marriage dissolved when she was six, leading her to spend part of her childhood in a convent school. This early exposure to both privilege and discipline would later influence her artistic sensibilities.

Toby Myers, John Sykes, David W. Duclon, and Melba Montgomery Dies

Toby Myers also appeared in the 1992 film “Falling from Grace,” directed by John Mellencamp.

Several artists passed away in January 2025. They include the bassist for John Mellencamp, a British rock guitarist celebrated for his contributions to bands such as Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake, a television writer and producer famous for a multitude of sitcoms, including Punky Brewster, and a country music singer who performed duets with George Jones, Gene Pitney, and Charlie Louvin.

The Banana Splits Adventure Hour was a popular American television variety show created by Hanna-Barbera Productions. It premiered in 1968 and featured a unique blend of live-action comedy skits, cartoons, and musical performances.
