“Target Earth” is a 1954 science fiction film directed by Sherman A. Rose. The story revolves around a group of people who find themselves alone in an evacuated city, only to discover that Earth has been invaded by alien robots from Venus. The central characters include Nora King, played by Kathleen Crowley, and Frank Brooks, portrayed by Richard Denning. Together, they navigate the desolate streets of the city, trying to survive and understand what has happened.

The Black Scorpion (1957)

I watched the 1957 black and white Warner Bros., Sci-Fi/Horror movie, The Black Scorpion on Svengoolie. It was filmed at Estadio Universitario, Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. The stop-action animation was by King Kong expert Willis O’Brien with the help of Pete Peterson who did most of the hands on animation. Due to the low budget, most of it was created in Peterson’s home garage. The 30 foot long inch worm was an unused prop from the King Kong movie.

Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)

I watched the Universal-International 1954 3D monster horror film Creature of the Black Lagoon. It was directed by Jack Arnold and produced by William Alland (This Island Earth, It came From Outer Space, Tarantula!, The Deadly Mantis, The Mole People, The Colossus of New York, The Space Children, and the three Creature from the Black Lagoon films). The geology expedition ends up in the Black Lagoon off a tributary of the Amazon. Here they find more than just rocks.
