My Favorite Songs with Numbers (Part One)

This is a series of posts that will talk about my favorite songs with a number. See if you agree with any of these!

“One” is a song written by Harry Nilsson that first appeared on his 1968 album Aerial Ballet, and although Nilsson’s own version did not chart, it became widely known when Three Dog Night released their cover in 1969, taking it to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and helping establish the group’s career.

Sly Stone, Wayne Lewis, Alf Clausen, and Roger Nichols Dies

We have lost four beloved musical artists here at the end of Spring 2025.

These artists recorded hits like “Everyday People”, “Dance to the Music, and “Family Affair”; sang on songs like “Always”, “Circles”, and “Secret Lovers”; composed and conducted music for Alf and The Simpsons; and wrote songs recorded by The Carpenters, The Association, Three Dog Night, and Paul Anka.
