These artists recorded hits like “Everyday People”, “Dance to the Music, and “Family Affair”; sang on songs like “Always”, “Circles”, and “Secret Lovers”; composed and conducted music for Alf and The Simpsons; and wrote songs recorded by The Carpenters, The Association, Three Dog Night, and Paul Anka.

The Brill Building was essentially a hit-making factory, and Goffin and King quickly became key players, known for their uncanny ability to craft catchy, emotional, and often timeless hits.

Gordon Meredith Lightfoot Jr. was a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist who achieved international success in folk, folk-rock, and country music. He is credited with helping to define the folk-pop sound of the 1960s and 1970s. He has been referred to as Canada’s greatest songwriter and was known internationally as a folk-rock legend.

My Favorite Albums – Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin’ In

Back to Georgia, Back this morning, Back where I come from

One of my favorites was Columbia Records’ “Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin’ In”. It started as a 1971 Kenny Loggins solo album but Jim Messina was producing and ended up singing background vocals, playing guitar, and writing a lot of the songs so Loggins added him to the record title.
