To the Wichita community, Dennis Rader was a church president and a Boy Scouts leader. However, he is better known as the “BTK Killer,” the man responsible for taking 10 lives over the course of 17 years – from 1974 to 1991.

What was happening 100 years ago this year?

We made it, through another year of the Covid pandemic, worsening at the end of 2021 with the Omicron variant. But it’s 2022. I never thought, as a child, that we would ever make it this far. I thought this would be a good time to look back 100 years to 1922.

Nanny Orway, played by Peggy Ann Garner (Jane Eyre, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Junior Miss), moves from Savannah, Georgia to New York City to try a career as a writer and is murdered. Everything pins the deed on Peter Denver, played by Van Heflin (Johnny Eagar, Shane, 3:10 to Yuma-1957, Airport), who must now prove his innocence.
