I got Chicago IX, the Rhino Picture Disc, for my birthday this year (2023).

Chicago’s Greatest Hits is a compilation album featuring the most popular and successful songs by the American rock band Chicago. Known for their blend of rock, pop, and jazz influences, Chicago rose to prominence in the late 1960s and became one of the most successful bands of the 1970s and beyond. Their Greatest Hits album serves as a comprehensive collection of their biggest hits and showcases their diverse musical style.

Chicago – Doyle’s Space: Music Hall of Fame

My 15th inductee, number 3 for 2023 is Chicago.

Chicago’s songs combine elements of classical music, jazz, R&B, and pop music. They were formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1967. Chicago began writing politically charged rock music and later moved to a softer sound, generating several hit ballads. The group had a steady stream of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

My Favorite Albums – Chicago Transit Authority – Chicago Transit Authority

Only the beginning, only just a start

Does anybody really know what time it is? Well, it’s time to introduce my next favorite album, Chicago Transit Authority self-titled 1969 double LP. This is the one and only album by them as they are forced, by a lawsuit, to change their name before their next title, shortening it to just Chicago.
