Progressive Rock Supergroup

Always found on the “Greatest Progressive Rock Albums of all Time” lists is U.K. by the supergroup U.K. It was their debut album released in May of 1978 on E.G. Records and Polydor Records. It features John Wetton, Eddie Jobson, Bill Bruford, and Allan Holdsworth. The album was well received by FM album rock radio and by the public during the summer of 1978.

My Favorite Albums – Discipline – King Crimson

“Discipline is never an end in itself, only a means to an end”

Discipline is the eighth studio album by the English progressive rock band King Crimson, released on September 22, 1981, by E.G. Records in the United Kingdom and by Warner Bros. Records in the United States. The band was founded by Robert Fripp, Michael Giles, Greg Lake, Ian McDonald, and lyricist Peter Sinfield in 1969.

We are Yes

My first inductee of 2022 is the English progressive rock band Yes. They are known for their extended compositions and virtuoso musicianship. They are certainly one of the founding members of the progressive rock genre.
