Last Day at Work

I won’t miss the 45 to 60-minute drive into, and home from work.

It’s here, finally—my last day at work! I’ll be officially retired starting tomorrow, February 1, 2025. During summers, I started baling hay and worked a little for Fulton County Parks and Recreation. My first job, job, was for Richway1 and then, North Fulton Medical Center, as a receiving clerk.

Things I Will Not Miss When I Retire

I have worked for about 50 years.

I plan to retire from the compounding pharmacy where I’m a Pharmacy Technician, 1/31/2025. I have been there for 21 years, and at my previous job, project manager for a computer firm, for 17 years. In total, I have worked for about 50 years. This excercise is a reflective space to identify and acknowledge the stressors and challenges associated with my current job.
