My Favorite Songs With One Word Titles (Part 1)

This is a series of posts that will talk about my favorite songs that have a one word title. See if you agree with any of these!

My Favorite Songs Where The Title Starts With The Letter “A”

All these songs have their title starting with the letter “A”.

“Another Day” is a song written and performed by Paul McCartney, released in February 1971 as his first solo single following the breakup of The Beatles, though it was originally started during the Let It Be sessions with lyrical contributions from Linda McCartney, who also received a co-writing credit.

“Getting Out of Hand” / “Call on Me” – Doyle’s Space: Music Hall of Fame – SOS Award

My Favorite Albums – A Different Light – The Bangles

It came about 1 1/2 years after their debut studio album “All Over The Place“. “Different Light”, on Columbia Records, would be their most successful album reaching number 2 on the Billboard 200. Five singles were released from this album.

One of my favorite albums is “All Over The Place” by the Bangles. I had just gotten a job at MSA in the mailroom, thanks to my friend Thomas F Jones, (I would later become a computer technician there). Their radio was tuned to WZGC (Z-93) and daily I would hear Walk Like An Egyptian and Manic Monday.
