Genesis, the English progressive rock band that would become one of the most commercially successful and artistically influential acts in rock history, formed at the end of the 1960s amid the creative ferment of British public school culture. The group originated at Charterhouse School in Surrey in 1967, where two separate songwriting duos—Peter Gabriel and Tony Banks on one side, and Anthony Phillips and Mike Rutherford on the other.

My Favorite Albums – Deceptive Bends – 10cc

This is a great album. I love every song and the cover art is one of my favorites.

Deceptive Bends is the fifth studio album by British art rock band 10cc, released on April 21, 1977. It marked a significant transition for the band following the departure of founding members Kevin Godley and Lol Creme in 1976. That left Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman to carry on under the 10cc name.

Singing lead and playing drums simultaneously is one of the great feats in popular music. Here I’ll post about some of the artists that make it work. The drummer is typically relegated to the rear, but here we’ll find some that should be right out front.
