Lyrical: “Tumbleweeds” (Part One)

These are songs that contain the word “tumbleweeds” in their lyrics.

“Tumbling Tumbleweeds” is a classic American Western song written by Bob Nolan in the early 1930s, originally titled “Tumbling Leaves” before its reworking. Nolan, a founding member of the Sons of the Pioneers, first recorded the song with the group in 1934, and it quickly became their signature hit.

What’s a Vogue Picture Record?

In 1946 the picture disc reemerged, when Tom Saffady’s Sav-Way Industries began issuing Vogue Records

Melody Hill was the Circle Sky Records official magazine while we were open between 2002 and 2010. This cover is our second issue (the color version). Donnie had some small versions of the Partridge Family Bus, Monkeemobile, Yellow Submarine, The Monkees, and a garage. We set it all up, right there in the store on a piece of cardboard with a backdrop. I took many photographs and then we photoshopped in the foreground and background images, the “Circle Sky” name, and the album covers in the windows and along the top-front of the building.
