History of Renting Videos

Where did you rent your VHS tapes?

I bought a General Electric (made by Panasonic) video cassette recorder (VCR) back in 1984. It was a top-loading unit, that is now said to have been slightly ahead of its time. My Mother and I drove from the Hi-Fi shop to Ace Video in Roswell, Georgia, and joined.

Atlanta’s 96 Rock

Pure Rock ‘n’ Roll

In 1974, 96 Rock came on the air with what would be now called Classic Rock. The initial song played was The Who’s “Baba O’Reilly”. It wasn’t long until all my friends were tuning in to this station.
