Cynthia Weil was an American songwriter and lyricist known for her contributions to numerous hit songs from the 1960s and beyond. Born on October 18, 1940, in New York City, Cynthia Weil grew up on the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side of Manhattan in a Conservative Jewish family.
Mele Kalikimaka (Meh-le Keh-liki-makah) is Hawaiian for “Merry Christmas”. In the song, by the same name, I’ve always had a mondegreen, misheard lyrics in the song. I thought they were saying “Mele Kalikimaka is the wise way to say Merry Christmas to you” when the correct lyric is “Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii’s way to say Merry Christmas to you”

Heavenly Dog, Caddyshack, Modern Problems, Vacation, European Vacation, Spies Like Us, Three Amigos, Vegas Vacation, 2015 Vacation, a writer on the Smothers Brothers Show, Community) trying to have a fun, old fashioned Christmas but everything goes crazy especially when he doesn’t get his expected bonus from work.
