I’ve been watching the 1989 National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation every year at Christmas since the 90’s. I first owned the DVD and now the Blu-ray but there is no difference between the two. The movie is about Clark Griswold, Chevy Chase (Saturday Night Live, The Groove Tube, Oh! Heavenly Dog, Caddyshack, Modern Problems, Vacation, European Vacation, Spies Like Us, Three Amigos, Vegas Vacation, 2015 Vacation, a writer on the Smothers Brothers Show, Community) trying to have a fun, old fashioned Christmas but everything goes crazy especially when he doesn’t get his expected bonus from work.

The movie also stars Beverly D’Angelo as Ellen (The Sentinel, Hair, Every Which Way but Loose, Coal Miner’s Daughter, Vacation, European Vacation, Vegas Vacation, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, 2015 Vacation),

Juliette Lewis as Audrey (My Stepmother Is an Alien, Natural Born Killers, From Dusk till Dawn, Starsky & Hutch), Johnny Galecki as Russ (Roseanne, Big Bang Theory), John Randolph as Clark’s father (Escape from the Planet of the Apes, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, Serpico, King Kong, Heaven Can Wait, You’ve Got Mail),

Diane Ladd as Nora – Clark’s Mother (The Wild Angels, Chinatown, Something Wicked This Way Comes), E.G. Marshall as Art, Ellen’s father (The Caine Mutiny, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Superman II, Creepshow, The Tommyknockers),

Doris Roberts as Frances, Ellen’s mother (Marie on Everybody Loves Raymond), Randy Quaid as Eddie (A Streetcar Named Desire, Saturday Night Live, Caddyshack II, Days of Thunder, Independence Day,

Vegas Vacation, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie’s Island Adventure, Brokeback Mountain) and

Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Margo, the next door neighbor (Saturday Night Live, Elaine on Seinfeld and The New Adventures of Old Christine). This movie is hilarious and I’ll give it 5 out of 5 stars. For more information read Wikipedia, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
