John Lodge, Diane Keaton, Chris Dreja, and Sonny Curtis Dies

Some great musicians and a wonderful film star have passed.

These artists were the bassist for the Moody Blues; acted in The Godfather series of movies, Play It Again Sam, Reds, and many more; was the bassist for the Yardbirds and Box of Frogs; and was in Buddy Holly’s band the Crickets, and wrote the theme song for the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Mike Ratledge, Alice Hirson, Tommy Hunt, and Tony Roberts Dies

Several Actors and Musicians passed away in February of 2025.

These guys played keyboards in bands like Soft Machine, appeared in films such as Private Benjamin and soap operas like Another World and One Life to Live, sang doo-wop in groups like The Flamingos and recorded Northern Soul albums, and were in movies like Annie Hall and TV such as Night Gallery, The Lucie Arnaz Show, and Law and Order.

Howard Morris Was Ernest T. Bass

“And if you wonder who I be, it’s me it’s me, it’s Ernest T.!”

Howard Jerome Morris was born September 4, 1919, to a Jewish family in the Bronx, New York, the son of Hugo and Elsie Morris. Morris attended New York University on a dramatic arts scholarship. During World War II he was assigned to a United States Army Special Services unit, the entertainment branch, where he was a First Sergeant. He was based in Honolulu and entertained the troops throughout the pacific.
