Eastern State Penitentiary

Why Was Eastern State Penitentiary Considered To Be Hell On Earth?

The Eastern State Penitentiary is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 2027 Fairmount Avenue between Corinthian Avenue and North 22nd Street in the Fairmount section of the city, and opened its cells in 1829 as the largest building in the U.S. It has been closed since 1971.

Album Art – George Osaki

On October 20, 1977, only three days after the release of the Street Survivors album, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s chartered Convair CV-300 ran out of fuel near the end of their flight.

This is where I’ll be talking about the Album Art that I like. That is one of the benefits of 12″ vinyl albums, the cool packaging that surrounded the record. Here I’ll research the creations that we all loved as children, teenagers, and adults. I’ll try to find as much information on the artists as I can.

Soundtracks – Jesus Christ Superstar

You have nothing in your hands, Any power you have, comes to you from far beyond, Everything is fixed, and you can’t change it.

Back in the early 70s, I would go to a friend’s house to fly model rockets. He played his “Jesus Christ Superstar” album for me. I bought a copy just as soon as I was able. I remember listening to it and following along in the enclosed lyric booklet. This was my first experience of a rock opera (I didn’t hear The Who’s “Tommy” until later).

What are the Odds?

The chance that one thing will happen instead of a different thing

Odds provide a measure of the likelihood of a particular outcome. They are calculated as the ratio of the number of events that produce that outcome to the number that do not. Odds are commonly used in gambling and statistics. Odds also have a simple relation with probability: the odds of an outcome are the ratio of the probability that the outcome occurs to the probability that the outcome does not occur.

Telemarketer Calls

Hello, Hello, Hello

I don’t usually answer my phone unless the number calling me is in my contacts list. That being said, occasionally I’m expecting an important call and have no idea what number they’ll be calling from. I then get the fun of all the insurance calls, people wanting to buy my house or letting me know my car warranty has expired.

Why Are Moths Attracted To Light?

Is there any science behind it?

I expected there to be a straightforward, single answer to this inquiry. But no, this seems to be a mystery. Nocturnally active moths are usually attracted to light sources as you have noticed. This event is known as positive phototaxis.
