Gilligan’s Island – Doyle’s Space: SitCom Hall of Fame

My 8th Inductee into my Sitcom Hall of Fame is the show Gilligan’s Island.

“Gilligan’s Island” is a classic American television sitcom that aired from September 26, 1964, to April 17, 1967. Created by Sherwood Schwartz[1], the show revolves around the misadventures of seven castaways who are stranded on a deserted island in the South Pacific. It’s known for its enduring popularity and cultural impact.

People!!!!!!

Gossamer is an animated character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He was the co-star in the Bugs Bunny cartoon they showed this Saturday during the Svengoolie after-party, “Sventoonie”.

Tom and Jerry (2021)

I watched the 2021 Warner Bros. Pictures Animation/Live Action /Comedy movie “Tom and Jerry” on Netflix DVD. The movie is based on the classic cartoon characters created by  William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Jerry takes up residence in a posh hotel that is about to host the webbing of the century. Kayla has faked her way into being hired at this hotel for the wedding planning and teams up with Tom to rid the premises of that mouse. The trouble is foreseeable!

Secret Squirrel

When I was a child I loved Secret Squirrel, the spy, designation 000, created by Hanna-Barbera. The series debut was September 12, 1965 in The World of Atom Ant and Secret Squirrel prime-time special on NBC. The series was called The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show and aired from October 2, 1965 until September 2, 1967.
