Several Cato’s this launch.

It got a little too windy causing some rockets to drift wildly, but otherwise a good day. We did have 2 catos (D12-3 and a D12-5). The temperature was a bearable 80 degrees with a lot of sun. Another fun day of launching rockets.

Rocket Launch 09/20/2025

Joe entertained us by bringing only staged rockets.

A hot, about 90 degrees, but a great day for launching rockets. Light winds, just enough to create a cooling breeze. We had to wait on the water irrigation system to clear the launch area but after that it was smooth sailing. As always, we had a great time launching rockets.

Rocket Launch 08/16/2025

A great day, no rain at all. The winds were light, just enough to cool us down a little under the canopy in the 92 degree heat. I had readied several of Tim’s rockets from the 70’s and 80’s for flight. His Estes Phoenix flew, for the first time ever. It was a beautiful flight, landing close to the pad with the two parachute set-up.

Rocket Launch 09/21/24

The AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) is a modern, radar-guided missile developed by Raytheon.

Another beautiful day, but super hot for the first day of Fall 2024. The high was 92 degrees with 89% humidity, barely a breeze. We still had a good launch, beginning early and leaving about lunchtime. We had a good launch, with the rocket recoveries being short walks.
