Rocket Launch 08/16/2025

A great day, no rain at all. The winds were light, just enough to cool us down a little under the canopy in the 92 degree heat. I had readied several of Tim’s rockets from the 70’s and 80’s for flight. His Estes Phoenix flew, for the first time ever. It was a beautiful flight, landing close to the pad with the two parachute set-up.

Rocket Launch 03/01/2025

As the day went on the wind increased to 20-30 mph.

It was lightly cloudy and about 70 degrees but the wind was a problem. When we started it was blowing 15-20 mph, but as the day went on it increased to 20-30 mph. This made for some really lengthy walks. We didn’t get to lauch very many rockets but as usual, we had a great time.

We were able to get Kevin’s launch pads when the rain lightened up about an hour later. We still had a good time.

Rocket Launch 04/20/2024

There was a couple of eroneous flights including a loud and spectatular CATO of a C11-0.

Another nice day, a little hot, but there was a cooling breeze. It was mostly cloudy with the clouds thinning out by days end. Ken Frye, who has been ill, came by to check out the festivities and we spent a good while catching up with him. There was a couple of eroneous flights including a loud and spectatular CATO of a C11-0.

Rocket Launch (06/17/23)

Our Roy Green Memorial Launch

It had been a while since our last launch but this was a great day weather-wise. Rather hot, muggy, but hardly a breeze. It was our first launch since our rocketry friend Roy Green died, so I’m dedicating this launch to him.
