Rocket Launch 03/02/2024

Including a spectacular (and odd) CATO

It rained all day Friday and into early Saturday morning, followed by a heavy fog. We decided late Saturday morning to give the launch a try. Although overcast a good bit of the day, it was about 64 degrees with hardly any wind. Besides the ground being mushy, it was a great day to launch rockets, with most landing near the pad.

Rocket Launch (11/04/23)

Great flights, didn’t even have to walk real far today.

Saturday, November the 4th, 2023 was an incredible day. The winds were light and the temperature was a comfortable 70 degress. We had a cloudless sky and some great rocket launches.

Rocket Launch (08/19/23)

A dragonfly was really interested in our launch.

Another beautiful day, about 90 degrees and just a light breeze. Michelle, Walter, and Wyatt joined us to fly rockets and we had a great time. We had about 20 flights, mostly all successful. An E motor got Michelle’s scratch-built Dr. Who rocket (with a Tardis nose cone) to new heights.

The Ken doll was released by Mattel in 1961.

B14-0 Cato’s on staged flight of an Estes Drifter

We got together for a rocket launch on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. It was pretty hot but the wind wasn’t as bad as it had been at the last couple of launches. The guys got three new Astocam videos that I’ll post below.

Rocket Launch 02/05/22

Beautiful sky, great launch

Another great day flying rockets, first launch this year. It was windy and cold, 10mph steady breeze and 40 degrees F. The sky was cloudless. We had a couple of more launches that I did not get a photo of; Kevin’s PML Bullpup on a Loki G66, and my Estes Big Dawg on a C6-5.
