Pine Gap, officially known as the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap, is a highly secretive satellite surveillance base located near Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. Established in 1970, Pine Gap is a joint operation between the United States and Australia and is considered one of the most important intelligence facilities outside the U.S. mainland.

Paul Reubens, born Paul Rubenfeld on August 27, 1952, was an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer best known for his iconic character, Pee-wee Herman. He was born in Peekskill, New York, and developed a passion for performing at an early age. He grew up in a Jewish family in Sarasota, Florida, where his parents, Judy (Rosen) and Milton Rubenfeld, owned a lamp store.

Wednesday (2021)

Wednesday is a Netflix supernatural comedy horror television series based on the character Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family. The Addams Family is a fictional family created by cartoonist Charles Addams that originally appeared in a series of 150 unrelated single-panel cartoons in 1938. They have since been adapted to other media, such as television, film, video games, comic books, a musical, and merchandise. They were originally published in The New Yorker over a 50-year period from their inception.

Jungle Cruise (2021)

We’re headed into headhunter territory, which is a terrible place to beheaded.

I watched the 2021 Disney’s Jungle Cruise on Netflix DVD. This fantasy adventure film was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Non-Stop, The Commuter) and is based on Walt Disney’s eponymous theme park attraction. It tells the story of the captain of a small riverboat who takes a scientist and her brother through a jungle in search of the Tree of Life while competing against a German expedition and cursed conquistadors. The filming took place in Hawaii and Georgia, from May through September of 2018.

News of the World (2020)

News of the World was the sixth studio album, released October 28, 1977 on EMI Records by the band Queen. It is also the 2020 Universal Pictures release, a western starring Tom Hanks, that I watched on Netflix DVD. It is about Hanks’ character, Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd who travels Texas, just after the Civil War, reading the news to crowds of towns people who just want to know what’s going on out there in the rest of the country and the world. He rescues a young white girl, Johanna (Helena Zengel), who had been living with Kiowa Indians after her family was killed.

Blood Out (2011)

I watched this 2011 Lionsgate, direct-to-video action film “Blood Out” on Netflix DVD. Directed by Jason Hewitt. his first, and produced by Michael Arata (was a detective in this movie, Another Dirty Movie, Déjà Vu, Ray, Runaway Jury). Blood Out is about a small town sheriff deputy, Michael Savion” who has to become a vigilante when his younger brother is killed through gang violence.

Blind Horizon (2003)

I watched the 2003 Millennium Films, Columbia Pictures mystery thriller, Blind Horizon, on Netflix DVD. Alain Jakubowicz (Unstoppable, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Delta Force, Cyborg, Masters of the Universe, Air Marshal) is the editor of the film and basically rewrote the movie, in the cutting room, to unfold the story in a way that can be understood, by the audience, at the appropriate times.

Universal Soldier (1992)

I watched Tri-Star Pictures, 1992 military science fiction movie, Universal Soldier on Netflix DVD. This is about soldiers that were killed in Vietnam, 1969) and brought back to life, in a super secret program, as an elite counter-terrorism unit. A problem arises when some of the soldiers start to get their memories back. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich (Stargate, Independence Day, Godzilla, The Patriot, Midway)

American Psycho (2000)

I watched the 2000, Lions Gate Films movie, American Psycho – uncut version on Netflix DVD. It is set in 1987, about New York investment banker Patrick Bateman played by Christian Bale (Reign of Fire, The Machinist, Batman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy 2005-2012, 3:10 to Yuma, John Conner in Terminator Salvation, American Hustle, Ken Miles in Ford v Ferrari) a yuppie hanging with and trying to out-do his shallow friends, with a serial killer second life.
