There are some great songs about fathers out there: the ones dedicated to his love, the ones about a strained relationship and even the ones certain dads wrote about their newborn children. No matter your relationship with your Dad, there are probably some songs that will bring back memories.

In these posts I’ll explore some music that deals with our comic book heroes. I’ll list some of my favorites about superheroes who arrive in the nick of time and save the day. Some of these are about our Marvel and DC idols while others about some less well-known heroes. There are songs about Superman, Spiderman, the Hulk, Iron Man, Magneto, Titanium Man, Flash Gordon, Batman and Robin, the Greatest American Hero, Dragonfly, and many more.

Lisa Marie Presley was born February 1, 1968, to Elvis and Priscilla Presley in Memphis, Tennessee, nine months to the day after her parent’s wedding. After her parents divorced, she lived with her mother in Los Angeles, with frequent stays with her father at Graceland in Memphis. She would be Elvis’ only child. She seemed destined to lead a life in the public eye, thanks to looks that mirrored those of her father and a notable singing voice to match.
