Motorola Digital Personal Communicator

This Motorola Digital Personal Communicator was my first cellular phone. I had Bellsouth Mobility, headquartered in Atlanta, as my provider. The phone was introduced in 1989 and replaced in 1991 by the Motorola MicroTac. I enjoyed using the phone and had pretty good success with connections, sometimes having to walk around to find a better signal or driving through a dead zone (GA 400 between Abernathy and North Springs).
