I watched the 2020 movie Sonic the Hedgehog on Netflix DVD. This action adventure comedy (and it is very funny) is based on the Sega video game. Sonic ends up hiding on Earth and struggles with being very lonely. This takes a hilarious turn with stars Ben Schwartz (voice of Sonic), James Marsden and Jim Carey (as Dr. Robotnik). There is great fun with nods to Amazon drone delivery, building a Lego Saturn V, reading DC Flash comic books, watching the movie Speed, and more.
The movie is the debut for director Jeff Fowler and was written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. The teased sequel, during the final credits, has been confirmed with the main cast returning including Jim Carey who loved his character.
