I watched the 2019 direct-to-DVD crime drama movie “Caught in the Crossfire” on Netflix DVD. It is about a couple of detectives that are in the crossfire between the mob and crooked cops. You definitely have to watch it all the way to the end. It is written and directed by Brian A. Miller (formerly Vice President of Nickelodeon Animation Studio, Hanna-Barbera and DIC Entertainment. He served as a production supervisor for Alvin and the Chipmunks, Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls,

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo and SpongeBob SquarePants) and produced by Randall Emmett (2008 Rambo, Day of the Dead) and R.D. Miller Jr.

The movie stars Adam Rodriguez (CSI:Miami, Criminal Minds), 50 Cent (Rapper), Richard T. Jones (Event Horizon, Vantage Point, Super 8, 2014 Godzilla, Forgiveness, CHiPs (film), NYPD Blue, In the Heat of the Night, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Hawaii 5-0, American Horror Story: Hotel, Criminal Minds) and Chris Klein (American Pie 1 and 2, 2002 Rollerball, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, The Flash). Chris, Adam and Richard were excellent in their roles while 50 Cent was a little disappointing.

You can certainly tell they filmed on a low budget but the gun fight scenes were pretty awesome. I’ll give it a 2.5 out of 5. For more information read Wikipedia, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
