Dawn Soap

Dawn dish soap was introduced in 1973 by Proctor & Gamble Company. My Mom started using it then and never looked back. I have never found anything that removes grease better and most don’t come near. The owners at the compounding pharmacy bought one of those “Compare to Dawn” cheapo brands and it was awful. You would have to wash twice as much and it would never really be as clean as Dawn.

Proctor & Gamble Company is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1837 by Willian Proctor and James Gamble. It specializes in a wide range of personal health/consumer health, and

personal care and hygiene products; these products are organized into several segments including Beauty; Grooming; Health Care; Fabric & Home Care; and Baby, Feminine, & Family Care.

Dawn was invented by 26 year old Paul Andrecola who went on to invent Febreze, household odor eliminator, and founded InventeK, their chemistry involves creating unique, sustainable, and biodegradable solutions for many applications.

Dawn is used to wash dishes, hands, pets, animal fat spilled on highways, and to remove oil directly from animals. It was used during the Exxon Valdez and Deepwater Horizon oil spills.

Procter & Gamble has donated thousands of bottles of Dawn to clean wildlife. International Bird Rescue has approved a 10% solution of Dawn to be the best and least traumatizing to the animals.
