I watched the DC Comics 2015 animated movie Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts on Netflix DVD. Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, has just built the tallest building in Gotham City, taller than Wayne Enterprises. Oswald (first appearing in comics in 1941) is a man of good taste, very rich, wears a top hat and a monocle, always carrying the umbrella and dressed in black and white. His laugh sounds like a penguin, always teased and made fun of growing up, is the villain you tend to feel bad for.
Now, Gotham City is plagued by a slew of bizarre crimes committed by the animal-inspired villain squad known as the Antimilitia. These criminals are Silverback, Cheetah, Killer Croc and Man-Bat. But just what are they after?
Batman is assisted by Flash, Green Arrow, Nightwing and Red Robin and they discover that the crimes are in a mysterious circle around the Aviary, Cobblepot’s tallest building. What is the Penguin up to?
