Nick Pope

Nick Pope is an author, freelance publicist and media commentator. He served as an employee of the British Government’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) where he was responsible for investigating UFO phenomena to determine if they had any defence significance.

From 1991 to 1994 he researched and investigated UFOs, alien abductions, crop circles and other strange phenomena, leading the media to call him the real Fox Mulder. The British Government has declassified and released most of its UFO files, about 60,000 pages. Nick Pope worked on these files,

wrote many of the documents in them and – through his hundreds of media interviews – has been the public face of the release program. He has appeared in many documentary shows including Sightings, UFO Files, Britain’s Close Encounters, UFO Hunters, UFO Europe: The Untold Stories,

UFOs Declassified, Unsealed: Alien Files, What on Earth?, History’s Greatest Hoaxes, NASA’s Unexplained Files, UFOs: The Lost Evidence, The Basement Office, Ancient Aliens (regular), Tucker Carlson Tonight and America’s Book of Secrets.

Nick has written six international best sellers, three non-fiction titles, two science fiction novels, and an action thriller. Blood Brothers, Encounter in Rendlesham Forest, The Uninvited, Operation Thunder Child and Operation Lightning Strike. Open Skies, Closed Minds is Pope’s autobiographical account of his interest in ufology. It provides an overview of the UFO phenomenon, with the emphasis on Pope’s three-year tour of duty at the Ministry of Defence where his responsibilities included investigating UFO sightings and any impact they might have on UK national defense.

“This work is a vitally important addition to the growing acceptance of UFO visitations to Earth.”

Edgar Mitchell, Ph.D., Apollo 14 Lunar Module Pilot (about Encounter in Rendlesham Forest)

Nick Pope also writes for the online alternative news site Neon Nettle about current topics and UFO based material. He lives in the United States, splitting his time between San Jose and Tucson.
