Ashley Frasca  – Green and Growing

Her show covers garden basics, expert interviews, features from around town, and garden questions from listeners.

Garden expert, writer, and radio and television host Walter Reeves[1] hosted the “Lawn and Garden Show” every Saturday morning (6-9 am) WSB Radio, Atlanta, for 26 years, 1352 shows. When he retired, January 31, 2020, he appointed Ashley Frasca, producer of the show for 8 years, as his predecessor.

“When he retired after 26 years of doing his show, Walter left big shoes to fill, but he also has been quite a mentor to me from the beginning. I was like a sponge, learning all I could from him. During breaks in his show, he’d come sit by me at the phone screening desk and coach me on my garden knowledge and how to work with callers. It was invaluable.

Ashley Frasca

A UGA graduate in broadcast journalism, she joined the WSB Radio team more than 13 years ago. Since she started her show more than three-and-a-half years ago, she has become a Master Gardener through the Cherokee County UGA Extension. She’s also forged partnerships with many gardening experts and organizations, often bringing them onto her show.

Her show covers garden basics, expert interviews, features from around town, and garden questions from listeners. You can also hear Ashley reporting on Atlanta traffic each morning across three different Cox Media Group stations in Atlanta! I always enjoyed Walter and continue to enjoy Ashley’s show.
