My heart is heavy today. We have lost a beautiful soul. Michelle was fiercely intelligent, howlingly funny and a very talented person. She died much too young, and leaves behind scores of people who knew and loved her. My heart goes out to her family, who are good people and are suffering the greatest loss anyone could bear. I hope everyone can give them space to heal in this most difficult time. Godspeed Michelle. You are missed.

James Marsters

Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you.💔💔💔🗝️

Sarah Michelle Geller

In early 2024, she addressed public concerns about her health, dismissing speculations about her noticeable weight loss and jaundice by assuring fans she was “happy and healthy.” Tragically, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 39, she was found unresponsive in her Manhattan apartment and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was later revealed that she had undergone a liver transplant prior to her death. Authorities confirmed that her death was not being treated as suspicious,

and the cause remained undetermined after her family objected to an autopsy on religious grounds. Trachtenberg’s passing elicited an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues alike. Co-stars such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, and Blake Lively shared heartfelt tributes, remembering her for her talent, loyalty, and vibrant spirit. Her contributions to both television and film have left an indelible mark on the industry, and she is survived by her parents, Lana and Michael, and her older sister, Irene.

So very sad …horrible news. RIP and prayers to her and her family.

David Boreanaz

I am deeply saddened by the news of Michelle’s passing. She brought a loving energy to the set of Buffy. My thoughts are with Michelle’s family and friends.
