I watched the 2020 Open Road Films and Briarcliff Entertainment movie “Honest Thief” on Netflix DVD. The film was directed, written and produced by Mark Williams (The Accountant, Ozark TV Series). It is about a bank robber extraordinaire, Tom Dolan played by Liam Neeson (Taken, Taken 2, Taken 3, Cold Pursuit, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker) that has met the love of his life and wants to turn himself in, give back all the money (he never spent any) for a reduced sentence.

The trouble is that one of the FBI agents, Jon Nivens played by Jai Courtney (Jack Reacher, A Good Day to Die Hard, I Frankenstein, Divergent, Unbroken, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, Terminator Genisys, Suicide Squad, Alita: Battle Angel, Semper Fi, Birds of Prey)

that comes to see him is crooked and wants the money for himself. Now Tom is on the run trying to clear his name from a murder he didn’t commit, save his girlfriend and get that deal he started out wanting.

Tom’s girlfriend, Annie Wilkins is played by Kate Walsh (After The Sunset, 2005 Bewitched, Legion, Scary Movie 5, 3022, The Drew Carey Show as Nicki)

and head FBI agent Sam Baker is played by Robert Patrick (Die Hard 2, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Wayne’s World, Last Action Hero, Double Dragon, Striptease, Spy Kids, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Ladder 49, Walk the Line, Firewall, We are Marshall).

Other stars are Jeffrey Donovan (Sleepers, Vegas Vacation, Hitch, Shot Caller, Let Him Go, Michael Westin in Burn Notice, 2015 Fargo),

Anthony Ramos (2018 A Star is Born, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Hamilton) and Jasmine Cephas Jones (Maria and Peggy in the theatrical and movie Hamilton). The movie, set in Boston was shot in and around Worcester, Massachusetts. I thought the movie was great and will give it 4.8 out of 5. For more information read Wikipedia, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
