I watched the 2014 Lionsgate, direct to DVD, movie Reclaim. It is about a couple that travel to Puerto Rico to adopt an 8 year old Haitian girl but before they can get her passport she disappears. Turns out there are no records for the adoption and as they try to find the girl they get entangled in the deadly scam. The couple is played by Ryan Phillippe (Crimson Tide, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions, Antitrust, Chaos, Setup) and

Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria Sutherland in the Twilight movies, Julia in Under the Dome). The other stars are John Cusack (Sixteen Candles, Stand by Me, Grosse Pointe Blank, Con Air, Pushing Tin, Being John Malcovich, High Fidelity, 2012, Hot Tub Time Machine, Cell, Singularity),

Jacki Weaver, Luis Guzmán (Crocodile Dundee II, Boogie Nights, The Bone Collector, Magnolia, Anger Management, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, War, Yes Man, The Taking of Pelham 123, Old Dogs, The Last Stand) and

Veronica Faye Foo (Singaporean-China based actress). The movie was filmed in Puerto Rico and directed by Alan White (Erskinville Kings, Risk) and produced by

Brian R. Etting (Broken, Funny or Die, A Good Old Fashioned Orgy and Relative Strangers starring Danny DeVito). There is some really good chase scenes on foot and in cars and I thought John Cusack played a great role.

It is a fictional story based on true life occurrences of human trafficking. I’ll give this movie 4 out of 5 stars. For more information read Wikipedia, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
