I watched this 2002 movie, The Escapist on Netflix DVD. It stars Jonny Lee Miller (Hackers, Trainspotting, Dracula 2000, Mindhunters, Æon Flux, Endgame, Roger Collins in Dark Shadows, T2 Trainspotting, Dexter and Sherlock Holmes in Elementary, ) as the escape artist. An accomplished pilot, he ends up breaking out of several prisons, to get put in the worst prison, Sullom Voe, so he can revenge the brutal murder of his wife. The film was written by Nick Perry (British playwright and screenwriter).
The Escapist is produced by Jolyon Symonds (Thorne: Sleepyhead, Complicit) and directed by Gillies MacKinnon (a Scottish film director, writer and painter, A Simple Twist of Fate, Regeneration, Whisky Galore).
