Three Years In A Row!

Everyday for three years in a row.

This is the third year, in a row, that I have made at least one post a day. That is 1095 posts, plus a few bonus posts here and there. I plan to keep this up as long as I can, and I hope you’re enjoying my blog.

So far, my number one post of all time is “The Omni Coliseum – 70s Concerts”. This is where I tried to list all, well as many as I could, the concerts at the famous Omni that used to be in Atlanta. I went to many of these shows myself. I followed it with a post on the 80s Concerts.

My most popular science post is the “World’s Largest Mushroom”. It turns out that it is the World’s largest organism and is located in the Blue Mountains of Oregon. This is followed by “Are We Living in a Computer Simulation?”

My number one pharmaceutical post is “Mercurochrome and Merthiolate”. These are two scrape-and-cut cures that I remember as a child. Mother always told me that the burning meant it was working. This is followed by “Coal Tar Creosote”.

My number one music-related post is “What does “She’s About A Mover” mean?” which is a song, from 1965, by Sir Douglas Quintet. It is followed by “Men With Banjos (That Know How To Use Them)”

My number one paranormal post is the “Patterson–Gimlin film/ Bigfoot Footage Enhanced”. It is about the Bluff Creek video taken in 1967 and the restoration work that has been accomplished. The next most popular is the “Rex Hefflin UFO Case” post.

My most popular biography is “Travis S. Taylor”. He is an astrophysicist that has worked with NASA and is currently the lead scientist on the Skinwalker Ranch mystery. It is followed by “Amy Shira Teitel” a science writer, space historian, and YouTuber known for her expertise in space exploration and the history of spaceflight.

My most popular Doyle’s Space Music Hall of Fame inductee so far is “Emerson, Lake & Palmer” the British progressive rock band. Two of the three have passed on but Carl Palmer still performs ELP’s music for their fans. The second most popular inductee is “Elvis Presley”.

My most-read memorial post is “Dawn Wells “Mary Ann” Dies” who starred on the 60s sitcom Gilligan’s Island and passed away on December 30, 2020. My second most-read memorial so far is “John Saxon Dies” who died on July 26, 2020.

My friend Donnie has been posting on the Record Stores he grew up visiting and shopping for music. His number one post is “Oz – The Enchanted Land of Records and Tapes” which was the Wizard of OZ-themed record store with locations in Atlanta, Marietta, as well as Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Montgomery Alabama. His second most-read post is “Richway and Kmart Record Departments”.

The highest-ranking food post is the “Why are they called Grapefruit?” post. I explain how they got their name. The second most-read post is “Why Are Some Eggs Brown, Some White?”

The most popular pet post is “Cisapride for Cats and Dogs, but not for Humans”. I tell you why the drug was pulled off the market for human use. The second most popular pet post is “Why Do Cats Have Tails?”.
