Going into fall of 2025 with several more to report.

They have acted in Rescue Me, The Good Wife and The Sopranos; played native American roles in many movies and TV shows, famously “Dances With Wolves”; wrote many TV shows like The Equalizer, Mystery Woman series, Kung Fu: The legend continues; and was the stuntman in many movies, famously Leatherface in “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2”

Jerry Adler

Jerry Adler (May 4, 1929–August 23, 2025) was a Brooklyn-born stage hand who rose to become a top Broadway stage manager and director before enjoying a late-blooming on-screen career best known for Hesh Rabkin on The Sopranos

and Herman “Hesh” Rabkin and roles on The Good Wife, Rescue Me, and Transparent; coming from a theater family, he worked backstage as a teen, stage-managed and/or directed major productions in the 1950s–70s, and later shifted into acting in film and TV where his dry wit made him a reliable character player.

Graham Greene

Graham Greene (June 22, 1952–September 1, 2025) was the Oneida actor from the Six Nations of the Grand River (Ohsweken, Ontario) whose wry gravitas made him one of the most recognized Indigenous performers in North America; after work as an audio technician and training at the Native

Theatre School in Toronto, he broke through as Kicking Bird in Dances with Wolves (1990), earning an Academy Award nomination, and went on to a sprawling career across film (Thunderheart, The Green Mile, Wind River),

television (Longmire, Reservation Dogs, Goliath), and stage, while advocating for Indigenous representation; an appointee to the Order of Canada, he died on a Monday (September 1, 2025) and is remembered by his wife and family.

Michael Sloan

Michael Fred Sloan (October 14, 1946–August 13, 2025) was a New York–born television writer-producer who cut his teeth on 1970s network dramas (McCloud, Harry O, Columbo, Battlestar Galactica) and co-created The Equalizer (1985–89; later the 2010s reboot) with Richard Lindheim; a Primetime Emmy nominee (1978, Quincy, M.E.)

with a taste for crime/adventure storytelling, Sloan also wrote novels extending The Equalizer universe, lived between New York, Montreal and Los Angeles, and remained active as a developer and mentor; he died on a Wednesday (August 13, 2025) and is survived by his wife of 35 years, Melissa Sue Anderson, their children Piper and Griffin, and his sister Judy.

Bob Elmore

Bob Elmore (1948–June 28, 2025) was an American stuntman and occasional actor whose burly frame and fearlessness made him a go-to double for heavy action and comedy alike, most famously performing much of the on-screen Leatherface work in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) and doing stunts across films and TV for decades (including doubling for John Candy and Dan Aykroyd);

colleagues remembered him for professionalism and generosity on set; Elmore died on a Saturday (June 28, 2025) after health complications and is survived by family members.
