Ladyfish (Elopidae), also known as skipjacks, jack-rashes, or tenpounders, is a coastal -dwelling fish are found throughout the tropical and subtropical regions.

About 1974 I was fishing with my cousin, Glenn, at Providence Lake , near Alpharetta, Georgia. We had rigged our flat bottom, aluminum, boat with a trolling motor and a depth finder. We found the place, near the dam, where a small creek bed connected with the main creek channel, about 12 feet deep.

Cottonseed meal is the byproduct of ginned cotton, seeds crushed and the oil extracted. It can then be used as animal feed or in organic fertilizer. I found out that catfish liked it too.

Yes, we caught 118 fish. A mix of largemouth bass, white bass, hybrid bass and 1 striper. It was 84 degrees, and sunny, and the fishing was slow until the last hour of the day when the schooling went insane.
