The Secret Life of Pets (2016)

I watched the Illumination Entertainment 2016 animated comedy on Netflix DVD today. It is directed by Chris Renaud (Ice Age, Despicable Me, Minions) and Yarrow Cheney (The Lorax, The Grinch) and written by  Brian Lynch (Puss in Boots, Despicable Me, Minions) and  Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio (Despicable Me, Horton Hears a Who, The Lorax). Max, a Jack Russell Terrier hangs out with his pet friend all day but then his owner gets another dog Duke, a Newfoundland mix.

John David Wilson Cartoons

I never missed an episode of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. The music was great and was always really funny. John David Wilson was the animator for the show with his production studio, Fine Art Films based in England and Hollywood. Wilson did the opening animation and several musical segments with Sonny and Cher vocals. He did the opening to the movie Grease, The Carol Burnett Show, Mr. Magoo, Space Cats, Lady and the Tramp and more.

Batman vs Robin (2015)

I watched this 2015 DC Universe, direct-to-video, animated superhero film on Netflix DVD. This story is partially based on Batman: The Court of Owls story arc written by  Scott Snyder and illustrated by Greg Capullo and Jonathan Glapion. Bruce’s son Damian is now going out as Robin and gets involved with the Owl’s assassin Talon. Batman has to go against his own son to solve this mystery. Onward (2020)

I watched the 2020 Disney and Pixar computer animated fantasy adventure movie on Netfix DVD. Directed by Dan Scanlon (worked on Cars, Monsters University), produced by Kori Rae (worked on Monsters, Inc. , The Incredibles, Monster’s University) and written by Scanlon, Jason Headley and Keith Bunin. The story is about a world inhabited with mythical creatures living normal lives but there may still be some of their ancient magic out there.
