Octave A Capella Christmas
Octave Atlanta is an all female a cappella singing group founded in 1996. The group has two excellent CD’s, “Stars in the Atlanta Sky” and “Rockin’ around the Peachtree” (Christmas CD). I have seen them many times and it is always a great and fun show.

Rita Wilson
Rita Wilson is an American actress, singer songwriter and producer. She was born in Hollywood, California October 26, 1956 as Margarita Ibrahimoff. Her mother was Greek and her dad a Bulgarian Muslim. Rita married Tom Hanks in 1988. As an actress, it started in 1972 on the Brady Bunch episode “Greg’s Triangle”.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Santa Claus is Coming to Town is written by J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie. The first recording was on Decca in 1934 by Harry Reser. The song has been covered by over 200 artists.
John David Wilson Cartoons
I never missed an episode of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. The music was great and was always really funny. John David Wilson was the animator for the show with his production studio, Fine Art Films based in England and Hollywood. Wilson did the opening animation and several musical segments with Sonny and Cher vocals. He did the opening to the movie Grease, The Carol Burnett Show, Mr. Magoo, Space Cats, Lady and the Tramp and more.
UFO – Boogie for George (Beat-Club)
UFO is an English rock band formed in 1968. Lead singer Phil Mogg, bassist Pete Way, guitarist Mick Bolton and drummer Andy Parker. They were originally signed to Beacon Records. This song was on their first album “UFO”.

Lady Marmalade was released in 1974 by Labelle and went to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was written by Bob Crewe and Kenny Nolan and the instrumentation was by The Meters.
Spencer Davis Dies
Guitarist Spencer Davis has died on October 19, 2020, in a Los Angeles Hospital, from pneumonia, at the age of 81. He was born in Swansea, Wales in 1939, moved to Birmingham, England at 16, and formed the band The Saints with Bill Wyman (who would later be the bassist for the Rolling Stones) and also performed with Christine Perfect (McVie of Fleetwood Mac).
