Ace Ventura Pet Detective (1994)

I watched the 1994 Warner Brothers comedy Ace Ventura Pet Detective on TruTV. I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen this one, and I laughed from beginning to end. Ace Ventura is played by the zany Jim Carrey (The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, The Riddler in Batman Forever, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, The Cable Guy, Liar Liar, The Truman Show, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Bruce Almighty, Yes Man, Dumb and Dumber To) the Pet Detective who is hired by the Miami Dolphins’ chief publicist Melissa played by

Heavenly Dog, Caddyshack, Modern Problems, Vacation, European Vacation, Spies Like Us, Three Amigos, Vegas Vacation, 2015 Vacation, a writer on the Smothers Brothers Show, Community) trying to have a fun, old fashioned Christmas but everything goes crazy especially when he doesn’t get his expected bonus from work.

John David Wilson Cartoons

I never missed an episode of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. The music was great and was always really funny. John David Wilson was the animator for the show with his production studio, Fine Art Films based in England and Hollywood. Wilson did the opening animation and several musical segments with Sonny and Cher vocals. He did the opening to the movie Grease, The Carol Burnett Show, Mr. Magoo, Space Cats, Lady and the Tramp and more.
